Prospective members to Springfield, are invited to the club to meet some of the members and view the facilities. We will attempt to answer all the questions that you have about shooting, firearms law and our club.
If you decide that this is the sport for you, then we invite you to join our club as a temporary member. During this membership period you will be expected to attend the club on a regular basis.
This will give us the opportunity to assess the level of your knowledge and what your expectations are for your club membership. The probationary membership will usually last six months, at the discretion of the club. You will also be provided with an instructional period in range safety, and the handling of firearms. You are assessed during this period, and if all is well, you will then be encouraged to join the club as a full member.
As a full member you are then able to apply for a Firearm Certificate (FAC), which would allow you to purchase and own a firearm. Any information you require about FAC’s can be found with your local Firearms Licensing Office in the Police area in which you live.
Again the club members are there to support and advise you.
If you are interested, or even curious about the sport, we encourage you to make contact with us, and see if it is for you. We understand it is not for everyone, but if you haven’t had a go how will you know.
